In The Garden

We planted out garden this last week. It has been beautiful weather so we have been enjoying a lot of out door activity. Days before plating our garden this was all Leandra could talk about.

Leandra: I want to plant our strawberries.

Me: We still need to get the ground ready first.

Leandra: OK

Next day
Leandra: Can we plant our strawberries?

Me: Sorry not today. We have Dance and the Library today.

Leandra: But I want to.

Next day

Leandra: Today mommy? Are we going to plant them?

Me: Yes! Today!

Leandra: Right now?

Me: No after breakfast.

We eat and then go out side to plant.

Leandra hands me the first strawberry to go in the hole I made.

Then I ask her to get me another strawberry plant and this is her reply:

Leandra: I don't want to mommy! I am getting dirty! Planting Strawberries is too dirty.

Me: Yes Leandra when you plant a garden you get dirty but you just wash off after you are done.

Leandra: Well I don't like it you just do it. I will play with my soccer ball!

So I planted the garden alone. In our garden we have strawberries, bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, yellow squash and zucchini squash. I hope they make it! Since I am a plant murder!

Welcome James Daniel

Mark's sister and her husband welcomed their 2nd little boy into the world March 18th @ 9:45am. James Daniel was 20 inches long and 8lbs on the button. I finally got a picture to post of my new nephew all the way in Germany! I just have one question. Where are the girl cousins? Becoming an Aunt 3 times in less than 2 years really make you feel old! Welcome Mr. James! We love you and can't wait to meet you!

I Like It Like That

After dressing herself the other day Leandra and I had this conversation

ME: Leandra you put your pants on backwards.......

Leandra: I like it like that.

Me: Let's turn them around.

Leandra: No! I said I like it like that! Sooo I just don't want to.

So I let her wear them backwards.

Fun With Daddy-O

Leandra and Mark love to make tents out of our couch cushion's. They build them and then I knock them down. I am the Mommyzila! You never know when she will attack. Leandra screams and runs. It's great! And now that Jesslyn is crawling she is my knock down assistant. It is so fun to see Mark play with Leandra. I think I enjoy watching them play together more than almost anything. I hope that they can continue their wonderful relationship as Leandra gets older. Mark is a great father. He takes good care of his girls. It makes me love him more and more each time I witness him with Leandra and Jesslyn.

What a week!

Ok so it is the middle of the night and I can't sleep because Mark is not home and I am hearing every little bump in our house. Plus I am reading a murder mistery so that isn't helping either. So I thought I would get caught up on our blog. It has been a crazy week. And the weekend isn't going to be any better. So let me break it down for you.....

Last Friday Jesslyn started crawling and is now very quick! I can't even blink anymore and she is into something.

Last Saturday we went to Tulare to visit Mark's Grandma and Grandpa Webster. It was a great time, we went to the park, fed the ducks, played cards, had tons of Ice Cream and Grandpa Chocolate Surup and Grandma got me hooked on this murder mistery novel.

Then on Tuesday the girls and I went with my mom, sister and nephew to vistit my Grandpa Gilton. It was nice to see him it had been awhile that I had been to his house. Almost 2 years I think.

On Tuesday night we helped our friends Brandon and Jeanne paint the house they are moving into.

On Wednesday morning Leandra had her first ballet class! She loves it. It was so fun to watch her. She was beaming with excitement. Then after ballet class we went to the libray for story time.

On Wednesday night we helped Brandon and Jeanne again but this time Mark hung a ceiling fan and I scrub the yucky bath tub.

On Thurday I headed over to my sister's to help her pack up her old kitchen and then we unloaded the boxes into her new kitchen.

On Thurday night we had our Bible study group over for dinner.

On Friday afternoon I helped Larin unpack a few more items and then at 2:30pm headed over to First Baptist Church to get in line to enrole Leandra in preschool. And that is where Mark is now. Registration is actually Saturday but inorder to get in you have to wait over night. We are number 6 in line so I'm pretty sure Leandra is getting in. But it is soooooo crazy!

Today I will go trade places with Mark around 7:00 am so he can come home and sleep a few hours before he helps Larin and Cody move into their new house right a round the corner from us! We are so excited to have them live so close! It will be so much fun! We have lots of plans for late night scrapbooking!

So in a nut shell that is our life. Crazy!
