Our trip to Oklahoma took us on a route you would not have imagined. We had to go through Seattle to get to Dallas. Crazy I know but when you are flying using your air miles sometimes you have to do crazy things. Nothing is ever
really free. However for us Seattle is the perfect place to have a lay over. On the way there our lay over was about 3 hours. Giving us plenty of time to have a fantastic dinner with our close friends in WA. The Drapers, The
Simms, The Georgia's and the
Iversons. All but one couple was able to meet us (We missed you John and Sandra hope your trip was fun) at
Bahama Breeze.

We arrived in Texas the
following morning at 5:30 their time 3:30 our time. Again Crazy! Jumped into our rental car and drove 2 hours north to Durant. While in Durant we had 2 more sets of friends come for a visit. Our Friends Lance, Katie, Lindsay and Leslie
Bauslaugh and Katie's Sister Heidi came to see the Ranch and the animals. It was really cold and mostly the girls just played in our rental car in the barn. The day the
Bauslaughs were there was the day the guys were "working" the cattle. For you city folk that means they gave the needed
vaccinations,
castrated the bull calves and then rounded up the bulls to be moved off the ranch. One of the bulls
escaped which made for an exciting afternoon. It was fun to spend time with the
Bauslaughs and get caught up with them.

(Pictures of the Cattle working will come later we are trying to get our video on you tube ) Then our friends Jim, Edna and Abby Allen came to spend the night at my parents Oklahoma house as Leandra called it. It was great to visit with them! The
Allens have know us since before we were married and they gave us great inspiration in those first few years of marriage. It is great to have friends that really care about your
spiritual growth, who are just plain fun and you can really enjoy sharing time with.

On our way back home we were able to share some more time with both the
Bauslaughs and the Allens in their
beautiful new homes. Then we were back on a plane to Seattle for a 5 hour lay over. This time we were able to spend some time with our dear friends the
Iversons. Mark and Kyle went hiking.( I don't know how Mark made it. He had been up since 4:15am/2:15am.)

Kathy and I had great plans of doing a craft but were enjoying getting caught up so much we never got to it. Well that sums up the
traveling I think I will save the
in-between stuff for another post.
