Last Saturday was the Wright Family Reunion my parents hosted it. It was a perfect day, the weather was just right. There were about 50 who came but if everyone would have been there it would have been 175 people. It was fun to see people we haven't seen in a while, the tri-tip was amazing and Leandra had fun with her cousins. But I think my favorite part was when we sang hymns ( I have some amazingly talented cousins) and listened to my Great Aunts and Uncle and my Ma Ma (who spoke on behalf of my Pa Pa who has passed away) share about our Christan Heritage and stories from when they were growing up. The Wright side of my family came to California from Oklahoma after the depression, they picked fruit and worked hard. They loved the Lord and the Lord blessed them. They are living breathing Grapes of Wrath characters. It's hard to know what to ask them about the past and how they feel about the world today so it was nice that they had an opportunity to share with everyone what it means to be a Wright and I am so proud to be apart of their family tree.
