let's play catch up

So I last left you as we began our tile project. We have finished the tile part but we are still waiting on some furniture and rugs so I wanted to wait until we have everything together before I post about that very, very, very strenuous project. So here is a little catch up post. Leandra had drive in movie night at church with her bible club. She and Mark put her cardboard car together and then Leandra and I painted it. We celebrated Easter. We had a beautiful sunny day for an egg hunt 77 degrees to be exact. The kid's had fun finding eggs both at my parents and at Mark's parents house. Then my mom had an adult egg hunt which was a big hit since cash was involved. Then our good friends the Georgia's from WA came for a visit. Our girls played together so well . We had 5 girls sleeping in 1 bedroom. Leandra was in heaven. And then this last weekend Leandra was a flower girl in my cousin Janee's wedding. Leandra took her job very seriously and was the perfect flower girl. Then she danced the night away. We had to drag her off the dance floor. It was too cute. Jesslyn and her cousin Dexter had fun dancing together too. So that sums up everything since my last post. Sorry to keep you waiting.

A few Changes

We are in the re-doing mode again. It seems that every March/April we get involved in a home improvement project. This year we are getting new floors and doing some painting. ( we are also getting new furature!!!! so exciting) Here is what Mark spent his weekend doing. More work to come......

Date With Daddy

Mark took Leandra on a Valentines date to the Disney on Ice Princess Wishes. Leandra was surpised by their date and was a very gigglely girl. I woke her up from her nap and told her that her daddy was going to take her on a Valentines date and she needed to get dressed up but I didn't tell her where he would be taking her. ( I wanted her to eat her dinner first) During dinner a comercial for the Ice Show came on. Mark asked Leandra if she would like to go to the show.( She had seen the comercial many times but had never dared to ask if we would take her.) With a very big smile she nodded yes... then he said that is where I am taking you tonight. Leandra didn't say anything at first she just had a dumb-founded look. Then she replied I never thought you would do that for me. When Mark and Leandra returned from their date Leandra said " Daddy treated me like a princess he carried me from the car and back to the car" And I said "That is how a date show always treat you like a princess." And then the next morning she told me that she dreamed that she was sleeping beauty and now she wants to be a Mommy Doctor, Skating Sleeping Beauty when she grows up.
